Facebook Profile Image

Upload an image, photo, or logo to your Facebook profile image that your customers will remember.

Facebook crops your profile image to a square, but you can adjust which part of the image to crop. Facebook profile photos display at 180 x 180 pixels on computers and 128 x 128 pixels on most smartphones.

Facebook Cover Photos

Facebook cover photos (also known as Facebook Banner Images) are the banners at the top of your Facebook page. They display at 820 pixels wide x 312 pixels tall on most computers and 640 x 360 pixels on most smartphones.

Facebook Event Covers

Facebook event covers are a different size than your business page cover photo. If you’re planning an event and set up an event page you’ll need to upload an image that’s 1200 pixels wide by 628 pixels tall.

Facebook Post Images

There are (2) primary sizes for Facebook post images. Facebook post images are the images that are shared on your timeline.

The first Facebook post image size is square. This size gives you the most real estate for your image. We recommend that you design your square images 1400 x 1400 pixels for sharp images.

The second image size is an image with an aspect ratio of 3:2, we generally recommend that those images are 1200 pixels wide by 630 pixels tall.

Facebook Ads

If you’re using Facebook to promote your brand it’s likely that you will set up paid ads.

Your Facebook ads may be single-image ads, carousel ads (which allow you to display up to 10 images or videos and can link to different web pages), or video ads.

For image-based ads, whether they are single-images or a carousel, keep photos to a 1.91:1 ratio with recommended dimensions of 1200 pixels wide by 628 pixels tall.

Be sure to use Facebook’s image text check tool to make sure your ad meets their text-to-image standards.
